Yesterday was my last day as guest designer for Paper Smooches. I had a wonderful time as guest designer and I am sad to see it end! Here are the last two cards that I made for my guest spot.
For this card I also used the pennant from Spiffy Scooters and the fireworks from Metropolis (they are stamped in Versamark Dazzle and covered in Stickles but they don't show up very well in the photo). The patterned paper is by Heidi Grace from a few years ago.
This card is one of my favorites. I used the images from Smarty Pants and created the sentiment using Alphadot. The patterned pape is by October Afternoon.
Paper Smooches is gearing up for another new release in just a few days-I can't wait to see what Kim has for us this month! Thanks for stopping by today!

Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge
Check out the inspiration photo for the current Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge-cute little bunnies!
I chose to use stamps from the Spring Fling set for my card. I paper peiced the carrot and did alot of fussy cutting around the rabbit and butterfly. The grass was cut using a paper punch. I will definitely be using this color combo again. I like how the soft spring colors pop against the kraft cardstock.
Thanks for stopping by today-now head on over to the Sparks challenge blog and play along! (The layout for this card was inspired by this card that Kryssi made back in January.)

Paper Smooches: Metropolis
Today I would like to show you the cards I made for my Paper Smooches guest designer spot using the newly released Metropolis stamp set. First up is a fun, interactive card.
When you pull the red string, the car "drives' through the city. Wouldn't this be a fun card for a little boy?!
Next, I used the same set to make a girly card. I really like how the clouds and balloons look when they are paper pieced.
The images in this set are perfect for building scenes and are versatile enough for all occassions. Check out Kim's blog for more fun ideas using this set!

Inspiration-Lawnscaping challenge #30
Here are the details of this challenge:
Find inspiration in a fellow crafter you know, or even one you may not know. You can find inspiration in magazines, websites (Pinterest, Etsy), blogs, etc. The only requirement of this challenge is to give credit to the source of inspiration you use by linking to your source, whether it be a fellow crafter's blog, magazine picture, website picture, etc).
Here is the piece that I chose for my inspiration. It a piece of patterned paper by Fancy Pants from their newly released line called Childish Things. This paticular piece is called Playtime.
My favorite part of the paper is the little castle frame so that is what I chose to replicate. Here is what I made:
I used the large frame from Lawn Fawn's Fanciful Frames, but I had to modify it a bit. The large frame was too small to fit the castle so I stamped the top of the frame, moved down the paper a little and stamped the bottom of the frame, then filled in the lines on the side with a zig pen. I then masked the frame, stamped the castle and the sun (actually the top the ribbon from Admit One), and free-handed the hill and road. Last, I cut out the frame, adhered it to my card front and stamped my sentiment using Lawn Fawn's Claire's ABC's.

Zoo Crew
Today I would like to show you a few cards I made with the new Zoo Crew stamp set by Paper Smooches. Kim is also showing these cards on her blog today as part of my March Guest Designer spot.
First up is a little spinner card with the zebra-isn't he the cutest?! I love the look on his face. Doesn't he look like he is just itching to go wild? The color combo is a bit unconventional, but I think it works nicely for this card. The sentiment was made using Alphadot.
For the next card, I used the alligator from Zoo Crew. I used the bottom of the the toaster (from Wake Up) and a little circle stamp (from Sugar Rush) to make him a skatboard. The L8R part of the sentiment comes in the Zoo Crew set, and I used Alphadot do make the g8r part.
Thanks for stopping today! If you think you might be interested in a guest design spot at Paper Smooches, check out Kim's blog here!

Laughter
I love this hippo from Paper Smooches new set Zoo Crew. Doesn't she look like she is laughing?! I had the idea to make her into a nurse and pair her with the sentiment "Laughter is the best medicine". While Paper Smooches has a set called Healthy Vibes, which includes a nurse's hat, I don't currently own that set. Instead, I used my Millennium Zig pen to draw one in. What do you think?
I also used Alphadot by Paper Smooches to create the sentiment. Thanks for stopping by today!
