Pinspired Challenge #24

The time has come for our final Pinspired challenge!  For this challenge we are working with this pin featuring iced snowflake cookies!

Since the pin we are working with features cookies, I decided to repurpose a few of my stamps to make a tray of cookies.  The tray is actually supposed to be a frame and the cookies are, of course, made out of snowflakes!   If you are interested in playing along, head on over to the Pinspired blog!

Pinspired Challenge #23

Pinspired Challenge #23 begins today, but before we get into the details, we at Pinspired have an announcement to make.  We as a team have decided after much thought and consideration to close down the Pinspired challenge site at the end of the year.  Our last challenge will be posted on Dec. 24, 2013.  We have enjoyed this opportunity and want to thank everyone who has participated.  We would also like to thank all of our sponsors for their generosity and support!

Now for my card, I wanted to go with a hand written quote, but mine didn't turn out so well.  It's imperfect, uneven and half the words go uphill!  However, when I printed the quote out and went to change my card, both my kids told me to leave like it was.  So I did and now I'm  okay with the imperfection.  It just means I need to practice some more!

Pinspired Challenge #21

 Pinspired Challenge #21 begins today and here is the pin we are working with:

I made a gift tag using Papertrey Ink's Cupcake Collection.  This tag is large enough that it could be used as a gift tag and a small card in one!  I think this tag would go perfectly with a sweet cupcake treat for someone's birthday.

I love this aqua and red color scheme, and since we are so close to July 4th, I decided to make a patriotic card. We attend a large family party every July 4th, so I thought this would be a good card to thank the hosts.
