This week's Make it Monday challenge is all about impression plate tricks. The idea was to use an impression plate to emboss only a portion of your cardstock. I went pretty simple with this one and used the woodgrain impression plate to emboss the bottom half of my kraft cardstock. I then covered the line made by the edge of the impression plate with some ivory ribbon. For my focal point, I used the rose again from PTI's Year of Flowers series. I had a hard time getting a good picture of this card! I took the first photo inside my photo tent, but the embossing on the bottom of the card didn't show up in any of the photos. So, I took my card outside to photograph it and the embossing does show up in that photo. The funny thing is that in real life, the leaves on my card aren't as bright and the rose isn't as dark as they are in the photos. Oh well, I hope you enjoy it anyway! Thanks for stopping by.
