Floral Fusion Mini Treat Bag

Good Morning! Today I have a Mini Treat Bag to share with you that I dressed up with the Floral Fusion Stamp set by Deasy Designs.

The rose in this set is the perfect size for the front of my treat bag .  I stamped the rose several times, colored each one and then cut them out.  I left one rose whole,
and then cut off certain petals from each remaining rose so that when they were layered on top of each other, the rose would be 3-D.  I finished off the bag with a few adhesive pearls and a sentiment tag.  Now it is ready to be filled with some Hershey's minitures!  I'm thinking dark chocolate-Yum!

Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge: Picture Perfect

Good Morning! It's time for another Paper Smooches Sparks challenge and this week it is a Picture Perfect challenge!
Below is the picture we are using as inspiration for this challenge.
Since the pattern on this sofa is the thing that stands out the most, I knew I wanted to recreate it in some way.  I stamped the buildings from Metropolis on graph paper and then colored in random squares with my W1 Copic marker.  I chose a neutral color for the building pattern so that the whole scene wouldn't get too busy.  I then added color to the windows using several different shades of blue, green, red, orange, and purple.  The sentiment is from Word Salad.

What will you do with this Picture Perfect challenge?  We would really like to see it!  To play along, head on over to the Paper Smooches Sparks blog and enter the challenge.  The winner gets a $30 credit to the Paper Smooches online store!  Also, don't forget to check out what the other members of the design team made for this challenge!

Deasy Designs Reveal + Giveaway: 'Tis the Season

Welcome to our second reveal post! We are releasing two sets sure to get you in the holiday spirit! Today is the full reveal of our Christmas set, 'Tis the Season! Thank you for all of the sweet comments that you left on my blog yesterday!  You all seemed to like Boo to You.. I think you will like this one just as much!
Introducing 'Tis the Season:
I think the elf and the reindeer in this set are just the cutest!  I also like how you can mix and match the wagon and presents with both images.  Can you see all the possibilities for the tree?  You can color it or paper piece it.  Leave it plain or dress it up with all the fun ornaments included in the set.
For my card, I chose to use the reindeer, wagon, and presents.  I thought it would be fun to create a wintry scene with this little guy, so I paired him with some stickers from Echo Park's Holly Jolly Christmas line. The snow was made using PTI's In the Meadow die.  Once my scene was complete, I realized that I hadn't left much room for a sentiment.  I decided to hide it behind my main panel and now when you pull the tassel at the side of the card, it reveals the sentiment!
Don't forget, both sets will available for purchase at midnight EST TONIGHT over at our store at www.clear.deasydesigns.com!

Introducing Boo to You:
Don't you just love this set?!  Halloween is one of my favorite holidays and I love making cards and projects with a Halloween theme.  This set is perfect for all kinds of Halloween projects because of the variety of images it contains.  I love that it even contains a mustache and two bows so that you can customize the pumpkins and ghosts!  For my card, I chose to work with two of my favorite images from this set-the black cat and the house.  I used my Distress Inks (Broken China, Dusty Concord, and Peeled Paint) to create a night sky and then made a Polaroid shaped card for my spooky scene.  I distressed the edges of my "Polaroid" with PTI's tea dye duo and stamped some spiderwebs along the bottom and sides. The sentiment is by A Muse Artstamps.

Aero Boy

Good Morning, today I want to share a card with you that I made using the Aero Boy stamp set by

I used the Movers and Shakers: Sliders die from Papertrey Ink and the little boy in the airplane to make a fun, interactive card.  When you pull on the ribbon, it not only makes the airplane pop up, but it also reveals a hidden sentiment.  I kept the rest on my card very simple so that aero boy would be would be the center of attention!  The sky patterned paper and the text patterned paper are both from October Afternoon.  Also, if you haven't heard, Deasy Designs will be releasing two new clear stamp sets this month.  To see a few sneak peeks head on over to the Deasy Designs blog!  Thanks for stopping by today!

Paper Smooches SPARKS Designer Drafts challenge

Good Morning, it's time for another Paper Smooches Sparks Designer Drafts challenge!
Here is the sketch we are working with this week:
I immediately thought "banner" when I saw this sketch.  I wanted to use my Hubby and Wifey stamp set, so I used the top of the wine glass to make the half circle banners and added a wedding bell between each banner to make a fun wedding card.  The sentiment is also from the Hubby and Wifey set.  The red twine is sewn on to the card.  I used my We R Memory Keepers Sew Easy tool to get evenly spaced holes.  Then it is a cinch to sew in the pattern.

What comes to your mind when you see this sketch?  We would love to see what you come up with.  For more details and to enter the challenge, head on over to the Paper Smooches Sparks Blog.  The winner of the challenge gets a $30 credit to the Paper Smooches online store!  Don't forget to check out what the other design team members made using this sketch:

Floral Fusion

This week is Showcase Week at Deasy Designs, and the set we are showcasing is the fabulous Floral Fusion!  This set has the perfect mix of large and small flowers as well as solid and outline images. There are so many options with a set like this.  You can go bold and bright, soft and pretty, or fun and whimsical.

I chose to use the carnation image to dress up a post card by K and Company.   I wanted the card to have a soft, pretty feel, so I stamped the flower and sentiment in a light brown instead of black.  I used several of my copic markers to color the flower and add dimension to it.  I finished off my flower image with a little bit of Stickles in the center.  I hope you are enjoying showcase week!  To see what the other design team members have made with this set, check out the Deasy Designs blog.  Also, the winner of the Our Heroes  stamp set from the blog hop has been announced on the Deasy Designs blog!  Thanks for stopping by today!

Deasy Designs Blog Hop

Welcome to the first ever Deasy Designs Blog Hop!  You should have arrived here by way of Yenni's blog.  If you arrived here from somewhere else, be sure to start at the beginning of the hop over on the Deasy Designs blog.

Today we want to highlight the Our Heroes stamp set.  It is a wonderful military themed stamp set that is perfect for making cards for those who serve our country.  Today, however, we wanted to show you that this set can be used in many different ways for all kinds of occassions!

I chose to use the sailor to make a super fun cupcake topper.  I think any little boy would love this 3-D sailboat and sweet little sailor.  First, I printed this boat template and stamped the side of the boat with the USA stamp.  The boat is very easy to fold, just make sure you score the dotted lines first.  Then I drew the sails on some patterned paper and adhered them to navy cardstock. I used the small blank flag from the set to make the fun flags at the top of the sails.  The flags were easy to decorate using the star stamps inlcuded in this set.  The pole down the center of the sails was made using the flag poles from the two flags included in the set.   Of course, the best part is the sweet little sailor that fit perfectly in my boat.
Here is a close-up of the cupcake topper.
I thought it would be fun to add some waves, so I used a punch to create the wave pattern on some blue cardstock. Then I just cut it down to size and wrapped it around the base of the cupcake.
What do you think?  Can you image a cute little nautical birthday party?!  You could use the sailor and the little flag in the Our Heroes stamp set to make not only the cupcake toppers, but also banners, party favors and invitations!

Now, are you ready for the best part of the hop?  Deasy Designs is giving away one Our Heroes stamp set!  All you have to do is enjoy the hop and comment on each of the blogs along the way!  Every blog you comment on gives you a chance to win!  You have until Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. EST to comment on all the blogs.  A winner will be announced on Wednesday on the Deasy Designs blog.

Next stop on the hop is Laurel!  Enjoy the hop!
