Memorial Day

The card I have for you today was actually completed about a month ago. I say completed because I stamped the main panel right after Vintage Picnic was released (which was almost a year ago), but I couldn't decide how I wanted to finish the card. None of the patterned paper I had seemed right and I didn't want a stamped background that would take away from the main image. So, my little patriotic panel was set aside. It wasn't until my Woodgrain impression plate came in the mail that I knew exactly what this card needed. I used my Woodgrain impression plate on a piece of Kraft cardstock and then lightly rubbed the raised part with PTI's tea dye duo to enhance the look of the woodgrain. For the main panel I stamped the flag/stars image and then masked them and stamped two images from Fancy Flourishes so that it would look kind of like fireworks coming out of the basket. I stamped the basket on a seperate piece of cardstock, cut it out and adhered it with pop dots. The edges of the main panel are also inked with PTI's tea dye duo. I love how this card turned out even if it did take me almost a year to complete! I hope you enjoy it, too, and have a wonderful Memorial Day!

Papertrey Ink-cardstock (kraft, enchanted evening), stamps (vintage picnic, fancy flourishes), ink (tea dye duo), ribbon (pure poppy), Woodgrain impression plate.

Copic markers, twine, adhesive rhinestones, dimensional adhesive
