ETA:This card was sitting on my desk and I kept feeling like something was missing...so, I went back and added the white layer under the main panel. I definitely like it better this way. It looks more finished to me.
CPS sketch 157 was the inspiration for this card. When I first saw the sketch I knew that I wanted to use Papertrey's new butterfly die in place of the circles. I love this butterfly die!! I cut out 4 butterflies in different colors, layering the pink ones, and added the little silver studs down the middle. I adhered the butterflies to my card using Ranger glossy accents. The grass is a new Martha Stewart punch that I almost didn't purchase. I am so glad that I did. The other fun thing about this card that doesn't show up in the picture is the shimmery background. I used a Versamark Dazzle pad to stamp the background polka dots. It adds just a hint of shimmer. This was a fun card to make and I think I will be using that butterfly die ALOT! All stamps are by Papertrey Ink.
On another note...Did you see Cath Edvalson's blog? I can't believe I won a bronze medal (birthday category) in her Stamping Olympics contest! The card I submitted for the contest can be seen here (the cupcake card)
Also, check out Cath's blog to see the other medalists!
