Spring

Today I played along with the Spring is in the Air challenge from Nichole's blog http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/
I chose to use Dawn's color comibnation.

The above colors show fresh snow as one of Dawn's picks, but on her blog she said she used rustic cream, so I used vintage cream. I first stamped the tree from Father Knows Best. I colored all the leaves and added liquid pearls to represent little buds on the tree. I got the idea to color the tree this way from Debbie Olsen-she did this same tree in fall colors awhile back. You can see her card here http://debbiedesigns.typepad.com/muse_and_amuse/2009/09/happy-autumn.html
I stamped two of the floral borders from Petal Power in vintage cream on the aqua mist layer. It doesn't show up very well in the photo. The sentiment is from Heart Prints Sentiments. I also distressed all the edges and inked them with the chamomile cube.

All stamps, cardstock, ribbon, and button are by Papertrey Ink.
Brown ink is by Stampin'Up, and Dimensional Pearls are by Ranger.

Now on to the pictures. I have a Kodak ZD15 and I am still trying to figure out all the settings. When I took this first photo, I forgot my camera was still on the outdoor snow setting. I like that the photo turned out so bright. However, I don't think the image is as crisp in this photo.

For this photo, I had my camera set on the flower setting. I like this setting because it is more crisp, but sometimes the photo turns out quite dark even though I am using a light right above the card. I did use photoshop, but as you can see I can't get it as bright as the first photo. This one turned out fine, but sometimes this setting tends to distort the colors of my card. Any suggestions?

Thanks for looking!
